Just like all the professional reviews say, Brigit’s a loon. I love her antics though, and I can buy into her diary because she has thoughts that are so off, and so sadly real that I identify. True, this was a truly brainless read compared to Hesiod and Virgil and Coleridge, but that is exactly why I picked it. It’s not a literary hit, it’s a hit of pop culture. Very satisfying for those times when you want that kind of read. However, as far as picking up the sequel goes… I’ll probably never do it.
